The International Cooperation Framework for Next Generation Engineering Students (NextGEng) is a three-year Cooperation Partnership project, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ KA2 programme, which started at the beginning of October 2022 and will end in September 2025. The official kick-off meeting of the NextGEng project was organized at the University of Jaen (P2 – UJA) in Jaen, Spain from Monday to Tuesday, November 28-29, 2022. This meeting was the official start of the project and there were present all project managers from all HEIs and companies, work package (WP) leaders, Erasmus+ Agency representative (online) and all UJA teachers who take in this project. The 1st and successful Tailored Training Seminar of WP2 was organized at Jamk University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä, Finland from Monday to Tuesday, January 30-31, 2023. The training activity was developed in hybrid mode, at the event 29 (3 online) teachers from all three partner HEIs took part at the activities organized in the event. Read more (pdf) [Ro] [Fi] [Es]

NextGEng Team Teaching Pilot Program (TTPP) is one of the main activities planned to be implemented in the project. TTPP brings a new international and cooperative dimension to already existing courses in the curricula of HEI partners by creating new content and teaching methods that enable participation of lecturers and company experts in the learning process. One of the NextGEng project line of action is the development of new professional project-based learning activities known as Cases of Experiential Learning (CEL) projects. CEL projects are designed in collaboration with companies or HEI research groups and aim to facilitate close cooperation between students, HEI staff and industry experts on real life industrial project or research topics. In February 2024, as part of the NextGEng Team-Teaching Pilot Program, the planning of the two last upgrading courses started in the cooperation of three HEIs’ teachers together with the company partners. Read more (pdf) [Fi] [Ro][Es]

On 26 September 2025, the NextGEng project held its Final Meeting online via MS Teams, with the participation of all partner institutions. The meeting agenda centered on preparing the final reporting phase and reviewing the project’s achievements. Read more (pdf) [Fi][Ro][Es]
